It connects the KNX bus with the Ethernet network and encrypts the communication on the IP backbone. The device uses the KNXnet/IP Secure protocol for communication (Routing and Tunneling). It can be used as a fast line and area coupler. A full filter table is supported for major groups 0-31. KNX devices can be programmed via LAN using ETS. There are 5 Secure Tunneling Servers available for this and other clients. The IP address can be fixed or received from a DHCP server. Power supply via 12...30 V DC or PoE (IEEE 802.3af class 1). Standard KNX communication (Multicast) can be turned off. In this case, it can communicate with up to 10 IPR/S 3.5.1 using unicast communication.
