The KNX DALI actuator L4 bc 16 A is the interface between the KNX bus system and the DALI (Digital Addressable Lighting Interface) lighting system. The interface has four DALI lighting control channels, each of which can control up to 64 DALI devices (electronic ballasts). Control takes place via a broadcast message, i.e. all participants on the channel are simultaneously toggled/dimmed. Each channel can be set separately.
Each channel has a switched relay contact, through which it is possible to switch DALI devices completely without voltage (without standby). KNX DALI L4 bc 16 A supplies the DALI bus voltage, no external DALI bus power supply is required.
With KNX DALI L4 bc 16 A it is possible to set the color and color temperature (Tunable White) for DALI EVG with device type 8. Both color settings can be controlled by scenes, relative or absolute dimming.
In addition to normal operation, the KNX DALI L4 bc 16 A has a night mode and a staircase lighting function with a pre-warning function (and both in combination).
The buttons on the device enable direct manual switching and dimming of connected DALI EVGs even without bus voltage. The LEDs indicate whether the relay is open or closed (upper LEDs) and whether the lamp is on or off after a DALI command (lower LEDs). The DALI EVG can be controlled via ETS using buttons for on-site commissioning without KNX power supply and without prior configuration.
