The MDT KNX power supply with integrated choke supplies the KNX / EIB with a constant, stabilized DC voltage of 30 V DC. The integrated bus coupler with diagnostic function monitors the bus voltage, bus current, bus overload and mains voltage failure and mains voltage recovery. All events are stored in the internal memory with a time stamp. The memory can be read via a 14-byte telegram.

The current operating status is indicated by 8 colored LEDs at the top of the device:
- RUN (green LED): normal operation
- I> Imax (red LED): Overcurrent
- Reset (red LED: reset process is active
- Temperature alarm (red LED): excessive temperature
- Operation> 60% (red LED): KNX bus overload
- Bus error (red LED): Bus errors, telegram collisions and unconfirmed telegrams
- Missing device (red LED): Missing KNX device
- Program (red LED): programming mode

All devices are overload resistant and also have an output without a choke.
