Salva KNX TH and Salva KNX basic are smoke detectors for the KNX building bus system. Their compact housing contains sensors, evaluation circuits and electronics for connecting the bus. The smoke detector is equipped with an automatic evaluation sensor system for timely and accurate fire alarms. Alarms are issued as a local acoustic signal and a bus telegram. The KNX basic volley signals a smoke alarm, the KNX-TH volley signals a smoke and/or heat alarm.

Logical AND gates and logical OR gates enable the connection between data and states. Multi-function modules change input data as needed using calculations, querying conditions, or data point type conversions.

The Salva KNX TH model also has integrated temperature and air humidity sensors. The measured values can be used to control limit-dependent switching outputs. The devices have PI controls for heating/cooling (depending on temperature) and for ventilation (depending on humidity).
