The temperature and humidity sensor TH-AP Modbus measures the temperature and humidity in indoor and outdoor spaces and calculates the dew point.

The device is a Modbus slave with RS485 interface and RTU protocol. A Modbus master such as a PC, SPS or MC can read the measured values ​​using "Function 04h (Read Input Register)".

Dew point calculation notes:
TH-AP Modbus calculates the dew point of the ambient air. This value can be used to monitor the dew point. This would require an additional sensor to measure the surface temperature of the wall or pipe. It is also necessary to monitor the dew point (compare with temperatures) in the Modbus master. Monitoring determines the possible formation of condensate on the surface and gives a chance for timely countermeasures.
